THE PESSIMIST
State of mind and state of life are two distinct quintessences that are co dependent on each other’s function or outcome.
With this piece I strived to depict the power of the mind and it’s influence, primarily on the pedestal that thrives on occurrences of the foregone which is a major factor in the pattern of thinking that derives comfort in the absence of expectations or hope of good result, due to either traumatic experiences of disappointment and abuse which necessarily doesn’t have to be in the exact same scenario.
To lay to desk the spectrum of a defeatist mentality which in specific times can be a coping tool while the excessiveness of it can be a stumbling block to one’s own potential, worth and fairness to self thereby state of life becomes constantly suffocating, dangling on an edge.
Hues Of Gigi is a multidisciplinary artist recognized for her redefining innovation in digital collage and writing, combining the concept of contemporary art, minimalism and surrealism in her creations whereas each piece is motivated towards therapeutic expressions as a means of healing, empowerment and enlightenment.
