A Tudor Home

This house is a Normandy variant Tudor Revival style home on the coast of Belvedere Island, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge with romantic cottage details and beautiful views. Lauren was determined to activate the space by bringing in color in ways that quietly and unexpectedly accentuate the home's character. She was inspired by watching color films centered around vacation and travel, and mixed paint colors by hand in her studio. Gold and green is a pairing that permeates every room and acts as a thread that connects each space, even as the tones subtly change from one room to the next. Preserving the heritage of the house was a priority —maintaining the lead windows and the massive wood ceiling in the main room, which are original to the house. The furniture is a mix of new and vintage, with incredible pieces woven in from the clients' existing inventory. The sourced antiques feature pieces from the year the house was built, as well as midcentury classics that the owners had previously acquired. Local artists are featured thoughout the home.
