After @ R&Co Gallery

AFTER was an exhibition of contemporary and vintage furniture design that drew inspiration from methods of sampling, appropriation, and deconstruction. The title acknowledged “reference” in ways that are alternately direct, irreverent, poetic and oblique. The work featured selections from R and Co roster by Wendell Castle, the Haas Brothers & Oscar Niemeyer as well as collaborations with the collage artists Lola Dupre and Gordon Magnin, fiber & macrame artist Sally England, mosaic artist Rhonda Heisler, wood carver Robert Brou, and mixed-media/performance artist Alex P White, who created unique side tables by hand pouring layers of black and white resin.The exhibition included limited editions, unique pieces, several murals and original wallpaper designs.
