Beach House

A massive steel, glass, and limestone contemporary home on the beach in Malibu was domesticated by cladding many interior volumes in teak, hanging floor-to-ceiling Jack Lenor Larson open-weave draperies throughout and furnishing the vast spaces with mostly American and Italian post-war pieces. By introducing teak paneling and cladding an enormous curved wall with tamboured teak doors, we were able to add warmth and correct acoustics.
