Bethany Beach, DE

A couple from Washington, DC inherited this Bethany Beach, DE condo with the intention to use it as a family vacation home. The property was a developers idea of what a beach house should be - dark and paneled. The architect Wayne Good wanted to refer back to a turn of the century beach house. Hajj's goal was to bring in a light feel, something that felt like the beach, but with a sense of richness that reflected the clients love for travel. To achieve this look, Hajj's interior design studio came up with a plan that opened the cottage up, brought in more light and most importantly made it feel restful, relaxing and accessible.
