The clients decided to simplify their city life and move from their six-story townhouse to a four-bedroom rental apartment at Manhattan’s storied Langham residence, they wanted to make everything easier—horizontal, with a doorman. We definitely wanted the view and the landscape to have an opportunity to come into the space. We love pattern and color, but we like to use it against a backdrop of calmness.
