Cottage in the Woods

If living in the middle of the woods is a dream, living in a cabin that combines the materials of the earth with color and luxury… is heaven.

The architect Miguel Angel Rosado, with whom i worked closely in the finishing process, honors the earth he build on and uses endemic materials, so the house is like a continuation of nature. The extreme weather in El Chico asks for practical heating and cooling solutions like the use of adobe brick, which keeps the house fresh in hot weather and also isolates it from the cold. The fireplace is key and has to be extremely functional, not simply decorative.

Sofia Aspe Interiorismo went as far as choosing the tableware to round off the concept, introducing and electric blue that is also found in other sections of the house and contrasts with the greens in nature.
