Doheny

Originally 1960s ranch perched in the Doheny Estates of West LA, the new design by Jennifer Post took this 3, 500 sq. ft. space to a different concept that suited the client, a celebrity, who wanted to feel calmed when she came here to hide from the clamor of public life. It also answered her client’s wish for a space that would feel welcoming to guests and offer a variety of spaces to move about, relax and dine inside and out. In place of a ranch house came a new layout, lots of glass, a formal entranceway, a great room for indoor entertaining with gorgeous views of the custom backyard oasis and downtown LA, a master suite with a huge walk-in closet and a serene home office. The palette is quiet and subdued enhanced with custom Italian furnishings and silk plush handmade rugs; the space light with panels of glass charting the sun, blue sky, and all that Jennifer wove into the newly sculpted landscape.
