The client was drawn to Jennifer Post’s style: the absolute calm that emotes from her rooms. He was also drawn to the perfectionism that is required to execute these concepts. It is a 2,300 sq. ft. pied-à-terre where the client and his wife can rest between his busy travel schedule, a little work, and dinner parties, often with royalty. The apartment was redesigned to take advantage of the Central Park views. When Jennifer’s work was complete, all rooms shared a panoramic view of the park. The study and living room, a gorgeous stretch of 45 ft, with only the freestanding glass panel separating two rooms. Floors are now paths of Carrera marble, all rugs are silks from Nepal and nearly all the circa-1940s furnishings were imported from Paris. This is a modern, intellectual home. It is as comfortable to be here in your sweats as it is to have a candlelit dinner party.
