A country house nestled in the forest of East Hampton was in need of some updating after it had originally been built in the early 80’s. With the intent of bringing a more natural, organic and layered feeling to the home, we went to work doing a complete renovation. In the living room reclaimed timber beams, worn inviting club chairs and linen covered sofa’s layer together . Layering sisal and classic berber carpet create a refined comfort with softness. In the dining room we wanted to activate the space not only for special occasions and so paired the custom oak table with oversized leather and steel dining chairs that invite you to linger. In the kitchen oiled ash cabinets, poured concrete countertops and stucco walls create a quiet palette while the graphic floors and vintage serpant sconces and custom ceiling fixtures keep the layered uniqueness that Studio Hus is known for.
