Fiat Lux

In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, Marie McCarthy’s businesses not only thrived in spite of the uncertainty – she even opened a second location for jewelry shop + piercing studio, Fiat Lux, in the Fillmore District of San Francisco.

Marie’s vision was for the Fillmore Street shop to be the original Mission shop’s “fancy auntie”, with the new main retail space being the embodiment of “joyful maximalism”. In a short 8 weeks, we brought this maximalist-auntie-jewelry-lover’s dream to life, via a fully custom-designed + fabricated burgundy jewelry case, Voutsa wallpaper, antique + vintage furnishings, and decorative painting by Caroline Lizarraga (including gold drips over the wallpaper, a particularly rude move by Noz!, a striped snake on the floor, and jewelry “portraits” in the glowy peach waiting parlor).
