Greenview Residence

For longtime clients, we designed this classically inspired residence in Chicago. The homeowners wanted their new home to feel lighter, more relaxed and approachable, with a subtle nod to California living. We refined the interior architecture and introduced contemporary, color-infused furnishings balanced by traditional elements that reflect the family’s natural sensibility.

The design was driven by the homeowners’ extraordinary art collection, which includes works by Roy Lichtenstein, Banksy, Gene Davis, Robert Motherwell, Ed Ruscha and Damien Hirst. A dramatic lichen-colored central staircase became the home’s focal point, with the surrounding spaces unfolding from it. Textural, family-friendly fabrics, a vaulted sunroom and an indoor pool create a home that feels gracious yet entirely livable, a place where art is woven naturally into everyday family life.
