Like many houses of its era, Stone Lawn suffered from a series of poor architectural decisions during its renovations, each one compounding the last creating a tortured interior totally unsuited to today’s lifestyle. The renovation of the existing structure required the majority of the interior to be gutted. In addition to the existing space, our work included the expansion of the rear of the house to include a new open kitchen and family room, expanded bedrooms and baths, a play room, as well as an attached three car garage. Our clients wanted to utilize the expansive grounds of the house for their young athletic family. The existing guest cottage and prefab detached garage had no architectural merit and were demolished to make way for a new pool, a spectacular pool house, and children’s play area.
