La Nouvelle Athènes

The design of this an Hausmanian apartment was worked around two key elements. The grand double séjour that was completely restored, and an amazing contemporary art collection. The rest of the apartment needed a total overhaul and was designed in a more contemporary style with a reinterpretation of classical references in order to accommodate some large art pieces . The furniture is again a mix of contemporary pieces from Herve Van Der Straeten, Matia Bonetti and Peter Lane mixed with a day bed from Armand Rateau, Jean Michel Frank chairs and bronze coffee tables from the 30's bought at Drouot. Our intention was to create a link between the past and the present in the design but also in the way the space is structured and lived in.
