Mykonos Retreat

Diane Kordas, creator of her own modern, urban jewellery line based in London and a close friend wanted to create her perfect escape and contrast from the hectic lifestyle in London. Having spent time with the owner vacationing in Mykonos, understanding her needs and working closely with the architect, we set out to create a serene Mykonos villa overlooking the ocean.

A home for entertaining, a touch of glamour from the 1960s and 70s was added, creating a luxurious feel but still in keeping with the client’s desire for a clean, contemporary, casualness – a retreat of barefoot luxury.

The flow of the space was important, to have the inside feel sheltered yet just an extension of the outside. The pristine setting offered an ability to use pure whites, with splashes of colour, pattern and natural textures to bring out the spaciousness and light airy feeling.
