For this classic home on a private drive in Pasadena we redesigned kitchen and baths as well as a downstairs family and game room, bringing the house up to date and simplifying the space plan to serve a busy young family. The color palette is mostly quiet – gray-blues and browns in the living room, gray cabinetry in the kitchen, neutrals accented with pops of color in the family spaces. Shaker cabinetry and classic pieces, like a Chesterfield sofa in the living room and wicker chairs around the kitchen table, mix with more modern touches, like an offbeat living room furniture plan and a custom, u-shaped sectional made for TV watching.
