Created for a French filmmaker, this colorful, bright apartment located in a landmarked building takes advantage of a penthouse by opening it up to the roof, adding large windows for daylight as well as a patio with 360-degree skyline views. This 1,200-square-feet Soho abode was given an entirely new floor plan, moving the kitchen from the back of the home to the center. A light-filled staircase lined with solid fir shelves leads up to the ipe-wood roof deck.
