From timber to gold to sea trade, the history of Seattle is the story of raw elements, unfettered invention and leading-edge technology. To honor this unique city, the new interiors for The Palladian hotel highlight a sense of heritage and place. Originally built in 1910, the landmark property includes 97 suites and rooms as well as the lobby, bar and common areas. The ground floor’s clubby, speakeasy spaces serve as a conduit for vibrant street life while the guest rooms—light, bright and embracing vistas of city and sea—take inspiration from Bohemian artists’ lofts. Works by local artists and artisans are found throughout the hotel. Restored details and industrial materials lend a gritty glamour to the interiors, which present Seattle’s tradition of discovery in a whimsical, modern venue.
