How do I know if my Swarovski is real?

How to know if your Swarovski is real depends on the age of the piece. From 1991 onward, every Swarovski piece has featured a serial code. Some pieces produced between 1975 and 1990 also feature codes. The length and formatting of the codes have varied over the years, but you can check trusted online resources to determine if a code on a piece that you own is one that the Austrian maker has used in the past. If your piece lacks a code or you have doubts about its authenticity, a certified appraiser or other knowledgeable expert can assist you.
