To repair a shallow scratch, apply oil (olive, baby or saddle) first to the scratch with a cotton swab and then to the surrounding area with a cloth; let dry and wipe clean. If you just want to disguise the scratch, apply shoe polish to the scratched area and then rub it into the leather and buff.
