What does NOS mean for a watch?

For a watch, NOS means New Old Stock. Retailers apply the term to a timepiece that a customer purchased and returned in its original packing without using it. Although they have never been worn, NOS timepieces cannot be identified as new because they were previously owned. On 1stDibs, find a large selection of watches.
