Set of 17 Murano Art Glass Goblets in Art Deco Taste, Italy, circa 1930-1940
Located in Vigonza, Padua
A remarkable and highly decorative set of 17 Murano art glass goblets, made in Italy and dating to approximately 1930-1940. The group presents an extraordinary variety of forms, colors, and stem constructions, while maintaining a strong visual coherence that makes the ensemble particularly striking as a collection. Each goblet is individually hand-crafted, with distinct silhouettes ranging from flared conical bowls to rounded trumpet forms, and with elaborately modeled stems featuring ribbed knops, applied ornaments, spiral feet, aventurine-like inclusions, and sculptural details in contrasting tones. The palette includes vivid ruby red, cobalt blue, aquamarine, turquoise, emerald green, and amethyst shades, often combined within the same piece to create refined chromatic contrast. The set embodies the refined decorative sensibility of Murano glass production in the Art Deco period, where Venetian glassmaking tradition meets a more modern, elegant, and theatrical design language. Rather than being strictly uniform, the goblets were conceived as a harmonious decorative suite, united by their craftsmanship, proportions, and stylistic spirit. This collection is especially suitable for collectors of Murano glass, Art Deco interiors, and high-level decorative objects, and would also make an exceptional visual statement in a dining room, display cabinet, or curated interior project. PROVENANCE Acquired from an old antiques Venice shop; in the A & MYART Collection since 2004. Each goblet is hand-blown and individually formed. Excellent condition, like new .
