1 Answer
What is chinaware made of?
What chinaware is made of varies. There are two main types of china: porcelain and bone china. Although the composition of porcelain varies, it is usually a mix of a soft white clay called kaolin and other materials like feldspar, quartz, alabaster, petuntse and steatite. Bone china is typically a combination of clay, stone and animal bone dust. On 1stDibs, find a large selection of antique and vintage porcelain.
