Otagiri is a shortened name for the Otagiri Mercantile Company, a company that imported porcelain and stoneware pieces from Japan. It began in 1954 and had its headquarters in San Francisco, California. In 1994, Enesco purchased Otagiri and eventually discontinued the line.
