Terence Conran is famous for his achievements as a designer. In 1964, he founded the luxury home goods retailer Habitat and played a vital role in founding the Design Museum in London. During the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, he helped to redefine the furniture industry with his flatpack pieces designed with the belief that design should be well-made yet accessibly priced for the average consumer.
