What is the difference between a sofa and a lounge?
1 Answer
The difference between a sofa and a lounge relates to form and capacity. A sofa is an upholstered seat that has sides and a back and can accommodate two or more people. The term lounge is derived from French and means “long chair.” The lounge chair is intended for one person. Officially, a lounge chair is simply defined as a “comfortable armchair,” which allows for the shape and material of the furnishings to be extremely diverse.
