Incredibly rare, the lovely blue-green Paraiba tourmaline gems are found in Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique. Their color is what makes them so rare and so highly desirable. First discovered in Paraiba in northeastern Brazil, hence the name of this stone, it has since been found in other regions. However, the Brazilian Paraiba tourmalines continue to be more valuable and have a more intense hue than gems sourced in other locations.
