This artwork titled "For Wally" 1974 is a collage on paper by New York artist Gerald Johnson, 1944-2000. It is hand signed, titled and dated in pencil by the artist. The artwork size is 24.5 x 18.15 inches, sheet size is 27.35 x 21 inches. It is in good condition, the paper is originally wavy as it show on the pictures. About the artist: Gerald Johnson [b.1944-2009] played a dynamic role in the Brooklyn art scene from the late 1960’s through the late 1980’s. This work of 20 yrs lead him to his fascination with textiles and paint, along with custom furniture. After creating and selling dozens of unique pieces of furniture, here began his transition from wall, to wood on furniture, to canvas. Painting on canvas was the culmination of his creative outlet.
