About the Item
Alon Seifert is a designer, writer, mixed media artist and a great believer in causes he believes in. LUMEN44 is Alon's take on the centuries old Menorah design. It is made of a 6lbs. slab of anodized aluminum, with eight rows of CNC drilled holes, each representing one day of Hanukkah. Unlike traditional menorahs, one should place all 44 candles in on the first day and light each row according to the specific day of Hanukkah. LUMEN44 meets all of the classic Menorah's Kosher requirements. Oh yes, I almost forgot: The LUMEN44 is made in Israel.

Alon Seifert
Alon Seifert is a designer, writer, mixed media artist and a great believer in causes he believes in. Seifert is an illustrator working out of New York. His Structural Potential series is made up of complex but imaginary geometric structures that represent the potential of movement, physicality and strength. Seifert makes lines with archival ink pens and without the use of a ruler. Examined closely, the lines are not imperfect but very accurate. Later, animal images are glued onto the paper.

“I think that a work of art should puzzle viewers, make them reflect on the meaning of life” Antoni Tàpies

Art is always a form of communication: communication with and between the materials employed by the artist, giving rise to an aesthetic visual balance able to convey feelings, emotions and ideas, all of which are essential to a nonconformist commitment and worldview.
Moisés Gil puts his representations of individuals in sculptural structures to better indicate the place of humans in the world, the place of contemporary individuals in their different environments, sometimes hostile; they are naked men...
