The title of this painting expresses artist Onelio Marrero's observations of people sitting alone in restaurants and cafes. In this case, a woman waits against the windows that flood the cafe with morning sunlight. Onelio intentionally includes various objects on the table that suggest she may be accompanied by an absent character or be alone ruminating. He works with a broad range of brushwork while simplifying unnecessary details.
