About the Item

Inspired by the Flanders verdure from the early 17th century. The rapid development of new sciences such as botany inspired weavers to produce tapestries known as "verdures". These depicted forests with a foreground of plants and flowers of the period. This tapestry is French made, Jacquard woven with relief stitch. It is fully lined with rod pocket for hanging. Materials include cotton and polyester. Please note that measurements are approximate.
