Ihor Volkov-Tkachynskyi reinterprets the legacy of El Greco, deconstructing his classical imagery to create a dynamic, contemporary vision. In this work, he breaks apart traditional composition, allowing geometric structures to coexist with raw expression. The faces of the original figures are replaced with masks, emphasizing themes of lost identity and transformation.
Through bold color experimentation, the artist balances sharp contrasts with subtle transitions. Movement is intensified by collage elements, lending the piece a layered and multidimensional quality.
