A model pirate ship dominates the geometric backdrop of this perplexing painting titled, "Night Crossing." Constellations painted on the tiled surface suggest the ship is headed on a journey to be guided by star-filled sky above. Notions of voyage and conquest come to mind, but the boat is moored to its wooden base, dashing any hopes for adventure. The painting is framed in a simple walnut stained wooden frame measuring 25.25 x 21.25 inches.
