About the Item

“Clouds Like Waves 2” was created during a residency in Santa Fe during the summer monsoon season, and was inspired by the skies I encountered there. I loved taking walks every evening in the desert, watching the sunset clouds roll in on the horizon accompanied by distant lightning. This painting is a reimagining of the sunsets I witnessed, with wind and clouds moving in the sky. The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished with a clear wax, so the piece can be hung without a frame.
