hre unvergleichliche künstlerische Begabung und ihr wesentlichster Beitrag zur Kunstgeschichte zeigt sich in Ihrem Umgang mit Bewegung sowohl bei den Darstellungen des Tanzes als auch bei den zahlreichen Schilderungen der bäuerlichen Arbeitswelt. Die Dynamik erzeugt dabei sowohl ein spannungsgeladener Farbrhythmus als auch ein Strich der jeweils die nächste Bewegung vorwegzunehmen scheint.
Am Anfang ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung stand das Aquarell im Vordergrund, später wandte sie sich der Ölmalerei zu, um schließlich in den Kohle- und Farbkreidearbeiten das adäquate Medium ihres künstlerischen Ausdrucks zu entdecken, wohl nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil diese Technik der Unmittelbarkeit ihrer künstlerischen Intention, dem spontanen gestischen Ausdruck und dem Arbeiten vor der Natur, insbesondere beim bewegten Objekt, am ehesten entsprach.
Der thematische Rahmen reicht von Stillleben und Blumen über die eher seltene Darstellung von Landschaft zu Pferden und Zirkus und fährt schließlich zur Darstellung des menschlichen Ausdrucks in seinen vielfältigsten Erscheinungsformen. Themen wie „Mutter und Kind“, „Andacht“ usw., stehen hierfür als Beispiel.
Eine besondere Rolle in ihrem Schaffen nimmt die Darstellung der Arbeitswelt – im Besonderen der bäuerlichen Arbeit in ihrem jahreszeitlichen Zyklus ein. Der Darstellung der Heimatvertriebenen und Flüchtlinge lag neben dem Interesse am malerischen Erscheinungsbild der Trachten, die diese bei diversen Festlichkeiten trugen (Hochzeiten, Konfirmation usw.) vor allem ihre menschliche Anteilnahme zugrunde, weshalb bisweilen auch Vergleiche mit dem Werk von Käthe Kollwitz angestellt wurden, mit der sie gemeinsam in einer Ausstellung in der Neuen Galerie der Stadt Linz 1947 vertreten war.
