A Fine George III Wine Label Maker's Mark of Re, Overstriking Hester Bateman, London, circa 1786-90.

The Label is of the Scottish crescent form and is of sauce label size. This example is well marked and is engraved for "sherry." Length: 1.35 inches, 3.38cm.

Showcasing handles on three sides, the trunk bears its maker's label and the MLV monogram in the front.
