Unusually, the side and back panels of the drawers are made from coromandel – an expensive choice of wood for drawers.

What makes this item valuable is the inclusion of Coromandel wood within the item's make-up. The wood is called Coromandel, Calamander or Kalu-Medhiriya.

This unique sculpture, made out of coromandel wood, was created by Hildo Krop in 1926.
