Good decorative pair of painted and gilded spelter lamps by L&F Moreau of the USA for the "collection Francais" circa 1950s.

The specter clock housing & figures were designed by F. Moreau. The clock face is white enamel designed with pink rose garlands that accent each numeral on the face.

Original produced by brothers L & F Moreau the molds were hidden during WWII from the advancing Nazis army and forgotten.

On the base there is a small brass sign saying: "LE BOIS par L. et F. Moreau" and it shows an additionally signature down at the tree stump.

The whole is from first quarter of the 20th century. Item signed - H.F. Moreau (1832-1927) This item is in very good condition.

This exceptional cast bronze is signed on the base H.F. Moreau & Lecourtier, and retains a wonderful warm brown patina.
