Fine contemporary mechanical bird singing box by Reuge. The box beautifully crafted with an engine turned gilt metal frame stood upon four ball feet. To the panels simulated Lapis-Lazuli is delicately placed with layers of lacquer showing glints of metallic gold in the light. When wound to the underside and the leaver pulled gently it lifts the lid revealing a beautiful metal scroll working with a bird outline and nearly instantly after a brightly feathered bird majestically rises up singing while flapping its wings and bobbing from side to side.
