Matteo Cibic was born in Parma, Italy, in 1983. He enrolled in Politecnico of Milano, where he got an Industrial Design degree while working full time at Cibic & Partners, with his well-known uncle, Aldo Cibic. In Milan he began to collaborate with other young artists and in 2006 he founded his own creative company ‘Matteo Cibic Studio’ based in Milan and Vicenza. Since then he works with his team of designers. Their objects have been included in several temporary and permanent exhibitions worldwide at institutions such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Shanghai Glass Museum while he has been the creative mind behind the development of products for international brands such as Beck’s, Benetton Group (Fabrica) and Nespresso.
