Sies Marjan
When Sander Lak, the talented, young creative director of the lushly hued fashion brand Sies Marjan, was asked to create a shop within the Atrium of Selfridge’s London flagship, he turned to 1stdibs to “dress” the space with furniture and decorative objects. Sies Marjan’s first collection was lavishly praised by the fashion press and worn by the likes of Beyoncé. At Selfridges (from September 4 through October 15, 2016), selections from the label’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection beautifully comingle with items from 1stdibs dealer Talisman, all chosen by Lak. “For me clothes and furniture are directly linked to each other. I love seeking out interesting things, whether it’s a fabric, a garment, a lamp or an amazing chair,” explains Lak, whose distinctive picks are also available here on 1stdibs. “This project allows me to show customers the world of Sies Marjan, from garment to furniture.”
