Affortunato Gory (Gori) was a French-Italian artist who specialized in Art Deco figurative sculpture, often combining materials such as bronze, ivory, and marble to dazzling effect.
Born in 1895 in Florence, Italy, Gory emigrated to France after studying with noted sculptor Augusto Rivalta at the Accademia di Belle Arti in his home city. He continued to practice and learn from the French artist Victorien-Antoine Bastet after his move to Paris, and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français on multiple occasions. Little else is known about the artist, who died in 1925.(Biography provided by WOLFS)

Sconces depict prancing females Flappers draped in Greek attire (each with distinct flowing short dresses) and are finished in antique silver, and rest on custom-made centered on green acid-etched glass. These sconces feature decorative Art Deco end caps cast in bronze and finished in antique silver. Each end caps is decorated with a five bonze applique finished in 24-karat gold doré.
Lighting is provided by custom manufactured LED warm-white light bars at the top and bottom of the fixture. Improvements to the original lighting concept are implemented via custom hand-fabricated reflectors. Which provide focused lighting and glass stabilization.
All castings made via a lost wax method.
