Bust: 34 inches Waist: 27 inches Hips: Up to 48 inches Length: 54 inches from top back shoulder seam to hem Beautiful vintage Alex Colman of California maxi dress dating to the early 1970s, featuring a spectacularly vibrant hot pink ground with an intricate multicolor floral and geometric border print in turquoise, lime green, yellow, orange, lavender and white. The sleeveless fitted bodice features a bateau neckline and beautifully engineered vertical placement of the print, drawing the eye toward the wide, defined waistband. Delicate pale pink floral loop trim finishes the neckline, arm openings and both edges of the waistband, adding wonderful texture and dimension. The textile placement is particularly striking. Vertical floral and geometric bands accentuate the fitted bodice, while the pattern changes direction across the waistband before flowing horizontally across the dramatically full, gathered maxi skirt. The juxtaposition gives the dress an almost patchwork or tapestry-like appearance while remaining entirely cohesive. A center-back zipper provides closure.
