One of a kind table clock in blued bronze and mercury gilt bronze "ormolu". "The Study", Louis XVI, representing a woman reading. Black marble base framed by a floral border in gilt bronze and decorated by a vegetal frieze in mercury gilt bronze. Onion-shaped legs with acanthus leaves, also in gilt bronze. The sphere in a circular profile in white enamel, signed BALTHAZAR, Á PARÍS, shows the hours in Roman numbers and the intervals in Arabic numbers, with bronze hands drilled in gold. The clock is in a LUIS XVI box with a gilt bronze finish. The clock case is embellished with a garland, supported by 4 scrolls. The sides in the shape of a treillague and on the case a book and a laurel wreath. On the left, a beautiful female figure with collected hair, sandals and a long classic tunic, reading a book and with a papyrus on her side. Balthazar movement, Paris. Signed on the dial.
