Of an extraordinary quality, the surface exhibiting the highest level of casting precision and finishing work, this work by Benoît Rougelet is one of a series of various fencers he modeled. The chiseling is just exquisite, his skin textured with a careful hammering, his eyelids, shoes, mustache, garment and hair perfectly formed and detailed. We may still have this figure’s opponent available in the shop as well; as this fencer pulls his glove on to prepare for the duel, his opponent (available by searching our shop inventory) is readying his sword for action.
