Renee's Breakfast
Located in Brooklyn, NY
"Renee's Breakfast" depicts a simple image of three eggs on a plate with bacon, a breakfast so familiar to many, and serves as a poignant reminder of the passage of time and the transience of even the most ordinary moments. Just as the morning sun rises and sets, casting shifting shadows and changing the hues of the yolks, so does life move forward, never standing still. The sizzling bacon mirrors life's moments, fleeting and ephemeral, yet leaving behind a savory residue of memories. In this seemingly mundane tableau, we find an allegory for the ceaseless march of time, urging us to savor each bite, each moment, for they are as precious as the breakfast on our plate. John Kato...

Personajes Para un Ballet, Latin American abstract
By Carlos Mérida
Located in New York, NY
Carlos Merida is a famous Latin American artist who often depicted images of Ballet and Theatre, as seen so wonderfully here in our Personnajes Para un Ballet. Framed in a high quality 24 karat leafed frame and new matting this work is impressively ready to hang. A playfully creative, imaginative, and sophisticated composition, Merida has drawn from the lively motions and colorful costumes of dance, abstracted to create visual rhythms in a decorative work that entrances the eye. Merida’s international ties connect Paris to Mexico to the United States with his travels throughout Latin America and Europe. He spent a considerable amount of time in Paris where he associated with artists such as Picasso and Modigliani, Camarosa and Van Dongen, an important period in his own development as an artist as it contributed greatly to the formulation of his personal style. Merida also worked with Diego Rivera and Rufino Tamayo in Mexico, influences also evident in the feel of his work. Merida was a sponge and he soaked up Cubism, Fauvism, Expressionism and probably the work of such artists as Goncharova and Leon Bakst. Framed in a silvered 24 karat frame...
