Beautiful pair of armchairs attributed to the great designer Gio Ponti for the Italian manufacturer Casa e Giardino in the 1950s. The fabric is an original golden yellow velvet of the time. The internal structure is made of a beautiful solid wood that can support the weight of the seat. The feet are covered by an application of a strip with dangling braids, very elegant almost baroque. The style of the seat and back is the same, using as a special technique that of the punching of the fabric, which sees buttons sewn and inserted into the fabric. The effect they create is that of a Chesterfield sofa, very elegant. A sofa identical to the armchairs completes the set. The set is ideal for study areas or high-class conversation lounges.
