"Federal Building – Wall Street, NYC" Impressionist Winter Scene Oil Painting
Located in New York, NY
Impressionist New York City winter city-scene depicting the Federal Building on Wall Street with American flags and pedestrians in a most intimate, yet energetic way. Christopher is known for capturing the beauty and simplicity of an earlier time of the 20th Century; old New York, families working together, villages and farms and friends taking walks together. Many are depicted in recognizable historical settings and this piece is an excellent example of this as he captures a snow-filled historic setting of New York with the calm, endearing charm of an American Flag and buildings with snow. Christopher engages his audience with the quick use of brushwork and great attention to picking up the energy passionately of his subjects. This piece is signed by the artist lower right and it comes housed in a gold tone wood carved frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
