Standing 16 inches tall this fine sculptural work carved in mahogany by New York artist Clara Shainess is titled 'Farewell' by the artist and the cubist inspired form exudes a distinct feeling of both love and sadness. It likely dates to circa 1950-1960 and is signed as shown on the photos. On the bottom there is an exhibition label.
