If you Love Lucy, late 40's/ early 50's Hollywood, wanted to dance all night at the Tropicana to Ricky Ricardo's band, you may love this lamp by the Continental Lamp Co. The male figural plaster lamp and original hand woven cotton shade are in good vintage condition. The Continental Lamp Co. produced and wide variety of styles during the mid 20th century and lamps by the company have become quite collectible.
This mid-century Saxon crusader Robin Hood wood nymph themed chalk-ware figural table lamp. Continental Art Lamp Company was a Chicago based manufacturer located on the famous Division Street. The owners were John Matanky, the son of Russian immigrants, and three Italian nationals.
Plaster lamps were made from molds of sculptures by Italian designers. Production began in 1948 or 1949 and ended in
